Position SummaryThe RHTP Grant Program Coordinator will assist with the development, coordination, implementation, and reporting requirements of the State of Kansas Rural Health Transformation Program Subrecipient Grant. This position will support the Kickapoo Nation Health Center in carrying out grant‑related activities, including writing project plans, coordinating program goals, tracking progress, maintaining documentation, and assisting with required reporting through the grant period ending September 30, 2027.
The position will work closely with the Clinic Director, health center staff, community partners, and grant‑related contacts to ensure all grant objectives, timelines, budgets, and deliverables are completed in accordance with state and organizational requirements.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Assist with writing, developing, and updating grant project plans, workplans, timelines, goals, and implementation strategies.
- Support the planning and coordination of RHTP grant activities related to rural health transformation, diabetes prevention and management, cardiovascular health, fitness center planning, revenue improvement, and Medicare/third‑party billing initiatives.
- Track project milestones, deadlines, deliverables, and required grant activities from the start date of June 22, 2026 through the end date of September 30, 2027.
- Assist with collecting, organizing, and maintaining grant documentation, including meeting notes, reports, invoices, purchase records, activity logs, and supporting data.
- Prepare drafts of grant reports, progress updates, narratives, and other required documentation for review by the Clinic Director.
- Coordinate meetings, trainings, schedules, and communication related to the RHTP grant.
- Work with clinic staff to gather program data, patient service information, community health information, and other documentation needed for grant planning and reporting.
- Assist with monitoring grant expenditures to help ensure spending aligns with the approved budget and grant requirements.
- Maintain organized electronic and/or physical files for grant compliance, reporting, and audit purposes.
- Communicate with internal departments, outside partners, consultants, and state grant contacts as needed.
- Support the development of policies, procedures, workflows, and sustainability plans connected to the grant project.
- Assist with purchasing, supply tracking, equipment planning, and vendor coordination when related to approved grant activities.
- Help identify barriers, progress, and recommendations for successful grant implementation.
- Perform other grant‑related duties as assigned by the Clinic Director.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Associate degree or higher in business, health administration, public health, social services, or a related field preferred.
- Experience with grants, healthcare programs, office administration, project coordination, or program planning preferred.
- Strong writing, organization, and communication skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive health center information appropriately.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office programs, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
- Ability to track deadlines, manage multiple tasks, and maintain accurate records.
- Must be dependable, professional, and able to work independently with direction.
- Experience working in a tribal health clinic, rural health program, community health program, or grant‑funded setting.
- Knowledge of diabetes prevention, cardiovascular health, public health, health promotion, or healthcare access issues.
- Experience assisting with budgets, reports, workplans, or grant documentation.
- Familiarity with Medicare, third‑party billing, patient revenue, or healthcare operations is helpful but not required.
