Position: Travel Speech Language Pathologist - $2,262 per week
Location: Herington

Job Overview

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist for a 13‑week travel assignment in Herington, Kansas.

Start date:

ASAP. Forty hours per week on eight‑hour shifts. This is a travel assignment.

Responsibilities
  • Utilize standardized assessments and clinical observation to evaluate speech, language, voice, fluency, and swallowing disorders across a diverse patient population
  • Design personalized therapy programs based on evaluation findings, patient goals, and evidence‑based practices
  • Continuously assess patient progress, adjust treatment plans as needed, and maintain detailed, accurate documentation in the electronic medical record
  • Educate patients, families, and caregivers on effective communication strategies, home‑based exercises, and safe swallowing practices, while offering supportive counseling as required
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to coordinate a comprehensive approach to patient care
  • Maintain a safe treatment environment by adhering to infection control protocols, safety guidelines, and regulatory standards while addressing patients’ comfort needs during therapy sessions
  • Engage in quality assurance initiatives and professional development activities to remain current with best practices in speech‑language therapy
  • Perform other duties as assigned within scope of practice
Required Qualifications
  • Valid Speech Language Pathologist license in compliance with state regulations
  • Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC)
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master’s degree or higher in Speech Language Pathology
  • Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech‑Language Pathology
  • Experience in speech‑language pathology, but new graduates are welcome to apply
  • Other certifications or licenses may be required for this position

  • Ability to read, write, and communicate in English
  • Ability to read and comprehend written instructions, follow verbal instructions, and proficiency in PC skills
  • Physical Abilities – Must be able to remain in a stationary position, move about, move equipment (50–100 lbs), push, pull, and bend
  • Interpersonal Skills – Must be able to work effectively with a variety of personnel to present a positive attitude and professionalism
  • Technical/Motor Skills – Must have the ability to grasp, perform fine manipulation, push/pull, and move about when assisting with procedures and/or using department equipment
  • Mental Requirements – Must be able to cope with frequent contact with the general public and customers while meeting deadlines under pressure, work under close supervision occasionally, and maintain continuous concentration to detail
  • Sensory – Must possess visual acuity and ability to effectively communicate

Employment Details

Employment type:

Travel. Pay package based on 8‑hour shifts and 40 hours per week (subject to confirmation). Tax‑free stipend amount to be determined.
