Position: Travel Speech Language Pathologist - $1,718 per week

Job Overview

Fusion Medical Staffing – Therapy is seeking a travel Speech Language Pathologist for a 13‑week assignment in Burlington, Kansas.

Qualifications
  • Valid Speech Language Pathologist license in accordance with state regulations.
  • Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC).
  • Master’s degree or higher in Speech Language Pathology is preferred.
  • Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech‑Language Pathology is preferred.
  • Experience in speech‑language pathology is preferred; new graduates are welcome.
  • Other certifications or licenses may be required.
Responsibilities
  • Utilize standardized assessments and clinical observation to evaluate speech, language, voice, fluency, and swallowing disorders.
  • Design personalized therapy programs based on evaluation findings, patient goals, and evidence‑based practices.
  • Continuously assess patient progress, adjust plans, and document in the electronic medical record.
  • Educate patients, families, and caregivers on communication strategies, home exercises, and safe swallowing practices.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate comprehensive care.
  • Maintain a safe treatment environment by adhering to infection control protocols and safety guidelines.
  • Engage in quality assurance initiatives and professional development activities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned within scope of practice.
Essential Skills
  • Critical thinking, service excellence, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Read, write, and communicate in English; good PC skills.
  • Physical ability to remain stationary, move equipment (50‑100 lbs), push, pull, and bend.
  • Interpersonal skills to work with diverse personnel.
  • Technical / motor skills to manipulate equipment.
  • Mental requirements to handle frequent public contact, meet deadlines, and work under supervision.
  • Sensory: visual acuity and effective communication.
