Job Overview
Fusion Medical Staffing – Therapy is seeking a travel Speech Language Pathologist for a 13‑week assignment in Burlington, Kansas.
- Start Date:
ASAP - Duration: 13 weeks
- Hours:
40 per week (8‑hour shifts) - Employment Type:
Travel - Location:
Facility in Burlington, Kansas
- Valid Speech Language Pathologist license in accordance with state regulations.
- Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC).
- Master’s degree or higher in Speech Language Pathology is preferred.
- Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech‑Language Pathology is preferred.
- Experience in speech‑language pathology is preferred; new graduates are welcome.
- Other certifications or licenses may be required.
- Utilize standardized assessments and clinical observation to evaluate speech, language, voice, fluency, and swallowing disorders.
- Design personalized therapy programs based on evaluation findings, patient goals, and evidence‑based practices.
- Continuously assess patient progress, adjust plans, and document in the electronic medical record.
- Educate patients, families, and caregivers on communication strategies, home exercises, and safe swallowing practices.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate comprehensive care.
- Maintain a safe treatment environment by adhering to infection control protocols and safety guidelines.
- Engage in quality assurance initiatives and professional development activities.
- Perform other duties as assigned within scope of practice.
- Critical thinking, service excellence, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Read, write, and communicate in English; good PC skills.
- Physical ability to remain stationary, move equipment (50‑100 lbs), push, pull, and bend.
- Interpersonal skills to work with diverse personnel.
- Technical / motor skills to manipulate equipment.
- Mental requirements to handle frequent public contact, meet deadlines, and work under supervision.
- Sensory: visual acuity and effective communication.
