Job Overview
As our Customer Service Representative, you’ll work to help our patients check into the hospital. It’s fast‑paced on occasion and you’ll be the person they rely on to answer questions during registration. You’ll build trust in these interactions by collecting information accurately and quickly while listening with compassion, addressing patients’ fears, concerns, and questions.
You must be a confident multitasker, quick study with technology, able to type and answer phones, and comfortable working in a hospital/lab environment prepared to see illness and injuries. We’ll teach you everything you need to know, making this a perfect starting point to launch a healthcare career.
Responsibilities- Work on computers and answer phones to intake information in a busy environment.
- Collect and input details correctly between physician and nurse check‑ins across multiple screens.
- Type as quickly as patients talk and work around clinicians interrupting the registration process for emergent clinical care.
- Assist patients who may be ill or worried, asking follow‑up questions and building rapport in real time.
- Maintain a fast‑paced environment, often on your feet assisting patients to complete registration.
- Handle variation in health plans and coverage requiring knowledge through training.
- Work quickly and expect the unexpected, providing reliable service rather than a casual desk job.
- Ensure all vaccinations are up to date, pass a drug test, and pass a background check before hire.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Excellent customer service experience.
- Preferred:
Medical experience. - Ability to work in a fast‑paced, hospital/lab environment.
- Valid vaccination record, successful drug test, and background check.
- Strong typing skills and proficiency with multiple computer programs.
- Base pay range: $14.50–$18.99 per hour.
