Part-Time Casual Registered Dietitian in Parsons, KS. Responsible for identifying and assessing the nutritional needs of assigned patients/residents, initiating interventions to maintain or improve nutritional status, and enhancing quality of life in line with patient/resident goals.

Schedule:

9 hours per week, flexible days.

• Provide nutritional expertise to the healthcare team and educate patients/residents, staff, or consultants.
• Follow the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics’ standards of practice and facility regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with other departments to establish procedures and policies, and troubleshoot issues related to dining service and nutrition.
• Actively participate in developing, reviewing, and revising continuous quality improvement programs.

• Bachelor’s degree in nutrition (prior to 2024) or related field.
• Master’s degree in Nutrition or related field.
• Passed a national examination administered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) or meets the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics requirements for eligibility.
• Complete 75 hours of continuing education every five years, in accordance with the CDR, using the professional portfolio development process.
• Licensed or certified per state requirements.
• Knowledge of regulation standards specific to comprehensive assessments, care planning, and residents’ rights.
• Ability to teach others, specifically pertaining to nutrition and dietetics.

• Experience working in healthcare or long-term care.

• Parsons Presbyterian Manor, located in Parsons, KS.

• $33.00 - $36.00 per hour, depending on experience.
