The CNA provides direct personal care services to residents, ensuring that all company policies, procedures, standards, and residents’ rights are observed during assignments.

• Adhere to the Resident Assessment and Care Plan for each resident.
• Provide personal assistance with bathing, dressing, oral care, grooming, and other tasks to meet residents’ needs in a timely manner.
• Provide dignified assistance to incontinent residents.
• Maintain current resident care logs, charts, records, and journals.
• Monitor residents’ behavior changes, appetite, sleep patterns, appointments, outings, and report incidents to a supervisor.
• Keep the home clean, orderly, organized, and safe; handle laundry and general housekeeping.
• Prepare meals according to menu plans, including special dietary needs, and follow kitchen protocols.
• Engage residents in individual interactions and activities that promote movement, exercise, and mental stimulation as outlined in individual Care Plans.
• Be knowledgeable of KDADS care regulations and compliance requirements.
• Interact professionally with residents, families, and staff.
• Participate in required staff education meetings.
• Perform reasonable duties as requested by management.
• Monitor property condition (yard, upkeep, trash removal, snow removal) and report maintenance issues.
• Act in the best interest of Home of the Flint Hills at all times.
• Adhere to company appearance guidelines.
• Become familiar with all company policies and procedures.

• Certified Nurse Aide in good standing with the State of Kansas (or equivalent that allows medication administration).
• Successful completion of HOTFH Orientation and Training Programs.

• Heavy lifting with assistance and gait belt.
• Bending, squatting, kneeling, twisting.
• Repetitive motions (sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting).
• Pushing/pulling a minimum of 50 pounds.
• Standing for long periods of time (minimum 1 hour).
