Position: Triple P Coach
Program: Early Childhood Programs (Building Blocks)
Job Summary: The Triple P Coach is responsible for providing direct Triple P Positive Parenting Program services at appropriate levels (1-5, Triple P for Babies and Pathways) to families and community partners in Southwest Kansas.
Qualifications
Required:
- Job-related experience within the specialized field is required.
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Valid driver's license for employment.
- Successful completion of Defensive Driving course, provided by RCDC.
- Background Clearance.
Preferred:
- Master’s Degree in a job-related area.
- Minimum of five years of work history in a job-related field.
Responsibilities
Essential Functions:
- Demonstrate commitment to valuing diversity and contributing to an inclusive working and learning environment.
- Assist with implementation of the Triple P Positive Parenting Program, focusing on whole family, multi-generational, strengths-based practices.
- Collaborate with caregivers to identify family goals, strengths, areas for growth and work together to make progress toward identified goals.
- Achieve accreditation in all applicable levels of Triple P Positive Parenting Program.
- Provide direct Triple P in-home and group services to families and community partners throughout the assigned service delivery area.
- Organize, facilitate, and present relevant, evidence-based information in group meetings and in individual contacts with caregivers and community partners.
- Promote RCDC services, including Triple P, to caregivers, staff, and community partners.
- Collaborate with a variety of groups and/or individuals (e.g., participants, caregivers, team members, partner programs, interagency groups, etc.) to assess needs, communicate information, resolve issues, develop action plans, make recommendations, and provide resources.
- Participate in team meetings to generate options for the implementation of evidence-based approaches, supporting colleagues, and problem-solving.
- Research resources and methods, participate in continuous improvement professional development activities, and support new approaches adopted by the agency (e.g., techniques, service delivery approaches, tools and methods, community resources and involvement, etc.) to determine and provide appropriate and effective services for addressing family-identified goals.
- Prepare and maintain a variety of manual and electronic documents, files, and records within required timelines to ensure the availability of information as required for reference and/or compliance.
- Participate in a variety of trainings, meetings, conferences, etc. to convey and/or gather information relating to job functions and agency mission.
- Support agency public awareness activities through agency contacts, distribution of materials, making presentations, writing articles, attending events, hosting visitors, and attending meetings as needed.
- This position requires compliance with the Kansas Children’s Cabinet Common Measures, including achieving a minimum of 80% accuracy and timeliness in data collection, entry, and reporting as defined by the Early Childhood Block Grant and program standards.
General Responsibilities:

- Support the mission, goals, and objectives of RCDC.
- Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills.
- Maintain strict confidentiality as outlined by FERPA and HIPAA.
- Ability to work alone and in groups to provide services.
- Assume responsibility for individual professional growth by staying current with research and practices.
- Demonstrate proficiency in effectively and regularly communicating with other employees of RCDC and clients.
- Complete all assignments in a timely manner, including communication with other staff, clients, or contractors.
- Adhere to all professional guidelines as outlined in agency policies.
- Independently manage daily assignments and activities, ensuring performance outcomes are achieved within budget, timeline, department, and agency objectives.
- Follow all safety requirements as directed by RCDC.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Chief Executive Officer or designee.
