MRI Technologist - Full Time - Up to $102,000​/YR

Full-time MRI Technologist responsible for performing high-quality MRI examinations, ensuring patient safety and comfort, and collaborating with radiology and medical staff to support accurate diagnoses. The role involves operating advanced MRI equipment, maintaining quality assurance, and documenting imaging results within the electronic medical record.

• Perform high-quality MRI examinations per physician orders and established protocols
• Prepare and educate patients about MRI procedures, addressing questions and concerns
• Screen patients for MRI safety and contraindications, including implants and medical devices
• Position patients to obtain optimal diagnostic images
• Operate MRI equipment safely and efficiently while maintaining image quality standards
• Monitor patients throughout imaging procedures to ensure comfort and safety
• Recognize and respond appropriately to emergency situations
• Maintain accurate patient records and imaging documentation within the electronic medical record
• Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care
• Ensure compliance with MRI safety guidelines, infection prevention protocols, and departmental policies
• Perform routine equipment quality assurance checks and report maintenance concerns
• Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care during every patient interaction

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
• Current ARRT certification required
• Current Kansas Radiologic Technologist licensure or eligibility for licensure
• Current BLS certification
• Strong knowledge of MRI safety standards and imaging protocols
• Excellent communication, organizational, and critical thinking skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team

• ARRT (MR) certification preferred or willingness to obtain if applicable
• Previous MRI experience preferred
• Experience operating MRI equipment in a hospital or outpatient setting
• Familiarity with PACS and electronic medical record systems
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to diagnostic image quality
• Excellent patient care and customer service skills
• Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment
