Location: McConnell AFB
Duties The primary purpose of this position is:
To serve as an Air Reserve Technician (ART) Enlisted, to serve as a medical records administration specialist with responsibility for the day-to-day operations of the Medical Records Section as well as those assigned to quality assurance and risk management responsibilities. Duties:
* Performs STR administrative duties for the organization.
* Ensures quality of the STR program including HAIMS or other electronic mediums.
* Manages and maintains flying, operational, and special duty programs.
* Health Service Benefits Advisors and Credentials Coordinator. Requirements Conditions of employment
* U.S. Citizenship is required
* Must be a current member of the AF Reserve or willing/qualified to join
* Must obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance

* AFSC: 4A071 Qualifications In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative and Management Positions. INDIVIDUAL OCCUPATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
EDUCATION:
Successfully completed training in an approved school for medical records technicians equates to 1 year of general experience. No credit may be given for partial completion of such training. OR SPECIALIZED
EXPERIENCE:
Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower grade GS-07, or equivalent in other pay systems. Examples of specialized experience includes knowledge of medical records administration and management skills and abilities. Knowledge of recognized reference standards, medical and legal requirements, and regulatory and accrediting agency requirements to perform medical records analysis and evaluate the adequacy of a medical records program.
Knowledge of automated medical records systems along with a knowledge of anatomy and physiology. The position also requires a practical knowledge of medical procedures and diagnosis as related to proper documentation of medical records. Knowledge of STR administration principles, techniques, and practices to establish and monitor a quality assurance program. Knowledge of Reserve mission, organization, programs and functions to include carrying out the squadron's medical training and administrative programs to ensure medical mission can be effectively accomplished.

A master's or equivalent graduate degree or, 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree LL.B or J.D., if related. OR COMBINATION OF EXPERIENCE AND
EDUCATION:
Equivalent combinations of successfully completed post-high school education and experience may be used to meet total experience requirements.
NOTE:
You must submit your transcripts. FEDERAL TIME-IN-GRADE (TIG) REQUIREMENT FOR GENERAL SCHEDULE (GS) POSITIONS:
Merit promotion applicants must meet applicable time-in-grade requirements to be considered eligible. One year at the GS-07 level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-09 level. TIG applies if you are in a current GS position or held a GS position within the previous 52 weeks.
NOTE:
Applicants applying as VEOA candidates who are current GS civil service employees or are prior GS civil service employees within the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements. KNOWLEDGE,
