Radiologic Technologist (CT)
This position is responsible for performing radiographic procedures to produce diagnostic images in the radiology department, as well as in the emergency room and surgery suite using portable techniques. The technologist provides procedural-related patient care and education. Maintaining records and documentation for procedures is essential. Identifying and supporting patient care needs, including language barriers, is required. The role entails treating patients and families with dignity and respect.
Ensuring confidentiality of patient records is a critical component of the job. The technologist interacts professionally with patients and families and provides explanations and verbal reassurance as necessary. Must be able to work independently and be proficient. Position is subject to sharing in a rotating on-call weeknight and weekend schedule. Successful candidates will graduate from a minimum of a two-year Rad Tech program or equivalent.
A radiation safety-focused mindset is essential to ensure patient and staff safety. Interpersonal skills for effective communication with patients and healthcare teams are necessary. Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment are important. Knowledge of current radiologic technology and best practices is preferred.
