Radiology Technologist
Full Time Radiology Technologist position in Sabetha, Kansas. You will perform high-quality diagnostic imaging procedures and provide compassionate patient care while working with advanced imaging technology.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform high-quality diagnostic radiographic imaging procedures per physician orders
- Prepare patients for exams by explaining procedures and addressing concerns
- Position patients accurately to obtain optimal diagnostic images
- Operate radiology equipment safely and efficiently while following established protocols
- Ensure compliance with radiation safety standards and ALARA principles
- Review images for quality and accuracy before submitting to interpreting physicians
- Maintain accurate patient records and imaging documentation within the electronic medical record
- Monitor patient condition during procedures and respond to needs promptly
- Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals
- Maintain imaging equipment and report maintenance or repair needs promptly
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
- Current ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification required
- Current Kansas Radiologic Technologist licensure or eligibility for licensure
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
- Strong knowledge of diagnostic imaging procedures and radiation safety practices
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team
Skills:
- Hospital-based radiology experience
- Experience with digital radiography and PACS systems
- Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to diagnostic image quality
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced clinical environment
- Exceptional customer service and patient care skills
