Activity Director

Americare Senior Living seeks an Activity Director to design and lead meaningful programs that enrich the lives of residents in assisted living, memory care, and skilled nursing settings. You will plan daily activities that promote social engagement, cognitive stimulation, and physical well-being while honoring resident preferences and abilities. Responsibilities include calendar development, documentation, oversight of activity staff and volunteers, and collaboration with care teams and families.

Responsibilities

• Plan, schedule, and lead daily activity programs that support residents' social, cognitive, and physical well-being
• Assess resident interests and abilities to develop person-centered activity plans
• Coordinate special events, outings, and holiday programs for residents and families
• Supervise and mentor activity staff and volunteers to ensure high-quality programming
• Collaborate with nursing, therapy, and care teams to support overall care plans
• Maintain accurate documentation of attendance, participation, and required regulatory records
• Develop and manage the activity budget, supplies, and community resources
• Design and adapt activities for residents with dementia and varying mobility levels
• Communicate regularly with residents and families to gather feedback and encourage engagement
• Ensure all activities meet safety, infection control, and compliance standards
