Pharmacist Opportunity

We've recently acquired our local pharmacy and are looking for a pharmacist to help lead the team.

While rural hospitals across America are shrinking, Morton County is BUILDING — and the acquisition of our local community pharmacy is the latest proof. This is a rare chance to step in and help shape the future of a pharmacy your way, backed by the full support of a thriving Critical Access Hospital.

What We're Offering:

  • Competitive Pay

  • $5,000 to $10,000 sign-on bonus based on years of experience

  • Full benefits package — health, retirement, PTO & more

  • Rural Health Loan Repayment opportunities

  • The autonomy to lead, build, and grow a pharmacy from day one

Why MCHS:

We're a growing, mission-driven health system investing in rural care when others are pulling back. You won't be a number here — you'll be a leader, a neighbor, and a difference-maker for families who count on us.

Why Elkhart:

Wide-open skies, no traffic, and a cost of living that lets your paycheck go further. We're minutes from the Cimarron National Grassland — Kansas's largest stretch of public land — with hunting, hiking, birding, and Santa Fe Trail history right in our backyard. It's a safe, tight-knit, welcoming community where people still know your name.

Ready to lead? This is more than a job — it's a chance to plant roots and build something that matters.

  • Graduate of a Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or Bachelor of Pharmacy program accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE).

  • Current, unrestricted Pharmacist License with the Kansas Board of Pharmacy in good standing.

  • Eligibility to serve as Pharmacist-In-Charge under Kansas Board of Pharmacy regulations;
    Oklahoma Board of Pharmacy licensure/registration obtained as required for cross-border dispensing.

  • Active DEA registration/eligibility for controlled substance dispensing under the pharmacy's DEA registration.

  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) with Automated External Defibrillator (AED) certification approved by the American Heart Association upon hire or within the first 60 days of employment.
