Position Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Pharmacist-In-Charge to oversee pharmacy operations, medication dispensing, patient counseling, medication management, and regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate will support optimal patient outcomes while ensuring efficient and safe pharmacy operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare, dispense, compound, package, and label medications.
  • Review and interpret physician orders and identify therapeutic incompatibilities.
  • Monitor drug therapies and recommend appropriate interventions.
  • Provide medication information and counseling to patients and healthcare professionals.
  • Supervise pharmacy technicians and oversee workflow, order entry, labeling, inventory, and inspections.
  • Manage 340B retail pharmacy processes, including compliance, pricing, reimbursement, and inventory replenishment.
  • Train and develop pharmacy technicians, students, interns, and other healthcare personnel.
  • Ensure compliance with Kansas State Board of Pharmacy, DEA, FDA, and applicable federal and state regulations.
  • Maintain controlled-substance records and properly remove expired or damaged medications.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of pharmacy policies and procedures.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA and organizational policies.
  • Report operational and patient-care concerns to pharmacy leadership.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and compliant pharmacy environment.
Qualifications
  • Graduate of an ACPE-accredited pharmacy program.
  • 1-2 years of retail pharmacy experience preferred.
  • Kansas Pharmacist License in good standing.
  • BLS with AED certification through the American Heart Association upon hire or within 60 days of employment.
