Senior Clinical Coordinator - Texas Once a patient has been identified for therapy, you will provide product education and logistical assistance to patients, caregivers, HCP and site of care staff, including physicians, nurses, and office managers. The CC works in a highly visible, dedicated team environment to provide exceptional customer service on all levels. Specifically, listen to patients, interpreting their specific needs and providing friendly, professional, and well-informed answers to their non-medical, product and logistical questions.

The CC will work with the patient to educate on next steps required to gain and keep access to therapy. The CC will also use Bio Marin approved educational materials to educate Patients/caregivers/clinic staff on the safe and effective use of Bio Marin marketed therapies. The CC will work to maintain relationships with patients and families, and by extension physicians and their staff and cross-functional partners to support ongoing compliance with therapy.

The CC will work with numerous internal teams, including Market Access, Patient Services, Advocacy, and Marketing, to facilitate and improve patient access to insurance, medications, financial support, resources and more. In this role, the Senior Clinical Coordinator:

  • Works collaboratively within an account team, moving cases from referral to specialty pharmacy/wholesaler/Clinic shipment to product start
  • Works closely with clinics and paients in assigned geography along with Bio Marin Rare Connections (RC) personnel to ensure timely initiation of Bio Marin therapy and adherence-related activities for patients enrolled in Bio Marin Rare Connections
  • Secure written or electronic HIPAA consent for patients in the assigned geography
  • Conducts ongoing education on disease and product administration technique to support safe and appropriate use of therapy at the patient/caregiver and clinic/infusion site level
  • Educate the patient on Bio Marin approved product coverage based on their benefits and the steps needed to gain prior authorization to ensure understanding of the process for medication access
  • Partner with FRMs to Investigate access challenges pre and post-infusion and liaise with the providers and patients as needed to resolve issues.
  • Coordinate with SP’s Nursing teams on securing nursing support for ongoing home infusion therapy
  • Partner with Safety and PV and report AE’s and product complaints through medical information.
