ASCP Registered Dietitian (RD) - Full Time Days
Join a compassionate healthcare team providing medical nutrition therapy to patients of all ages within an acute care environment in the Central Plains region of the United States. This role involves delivering personalized nutrition education to patients, families, and healthcare staff while collaborating closely with an interdisciplinary team.
Essential Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive nutrition assessments utilizing the nutrition care process.
- Document patient care accurately in electronic medical records.
- Provide tailored medical nutrition therapy to a diverse patient population ranging from pediatric to geriatric.
- Support menu planning and participate in related projects as needed.
- Adhere to privacy and security regulations concerning Protected Health Information (PHI).
- Maintain professional and effective communication with patients, families, healthcare team members, and external partners.
Bachelor's degree in Nutrition or Dietetics is required.
Licenses and CertificationsMust be registered or eligible for registration with the Commission on Dietetic Registration and licensed in the applicable state. If registration is pending, it must be obtained within one year of hire.
Skills and Abilities- Ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Basic knowledge of enteral and parenteral nutrition.
- Strong multitasking and time management capabilities.
- Proficient in nutrition assessment techniques.
Light physical work involving occasional lifting up to 25 pounds and frequent lifting up to 10 pounds. The role may require standing or walking for 11-25% of the workday.
