ASCP Mental Health Technician - PRN

Windom, KS $32,009 - $41,099 a year

Full Time

Join a compassionate team providing intensive, goal-oriented support to individuals experiencing mental health crises in the Midwest region. This role focuses on crisis stabilization services, ensuring client safety, medication compliance, and daily living assistance.

Essential Responsibilities:
  • Deliver crisis stabilization and support services to individuals in mental health emergencies.
  • Maintain timely and accurate documentation following organizational policies.
  • Utilize de-escalation techniques to manage challenging situations effectively.
  • Engage with clients positively, supporting their goals and safety.
  • Adhere to privacy and security regulations concerning Protected Health Information (PHI).
  • Foster professional communication and collaboration with clients, healthcare teams, and external agencies.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • Preferred:
    Two or more years of professional experience in mental health services, crisis response, or related fields.
Requirements:
  • Must be at least 21 years old.
  • Current BLS/CPR certification from an approved provider within 30 days of hire or by the end of orientation.
  • Successful completion of background checks including KBI, DCF, child and adult abuse registries, and motor vehicle screenings.
  • If driving is required, a valid driver's license and auto insurance meeting regional requirements are necessary.
Skills and Abilities:
  • Familiarity with community mental health services.
  • Basic computer proficiency.
  • Strong multitasking and prioritization capabilities.
  • Effective communication skills.
Physical Requirements:

Light work involving occasional exertion up to 25 lbs and frequent exertion up to 10 lbs. Standing or walking may be required 11-25% of the workday, with or without accommodation.
