Summary:

As a self-identified individual with lived experience in mental health services, the Advocate Peer Support Specialist offers direct supportive care to individuals within the community. These services emphasize rehabilitation and recovery, aiming to enhance coping skills for managing psychiatric symptoms while encouraging the use of natural resources and community living skills.

Essential Functions:

• Deliver direct supportive services to individuals facing mental health challenges.
• Assist clients in developing proactive solutions to overcome recovery barriers.
• Complete documentation accurately and promptly.
• Participate in trainings and meetings as required.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisors.

Minimum Knowledge and

Skills Required:

• Strong organizational abilities.
• Intermediate proficiency with MS Office applications.
• Self-identification as a current or former primary consumer of mental health services.
• At least one year of stable recovery as per regional guidelines.

• Valid driver's license, insurance, and reliable vehicle.
