Overview:
Join a dedicated team providing 24/7 crisis stabilization services designed to support adults and youth experiencing mental health emergencies. Our mission is to reduce inpatient hospital admissions, minimize law enforcement involvement, and connect individuals with outpatient treatment tailored to their needs. This role offers intensive, goal-oriented support to those in crisis, collaborating closely with clinical and community partners to promote sustained community living.
- Deliver crisis stabilization care to individuals at a regional crisis center.
- Engage with clients positively and supportively, monitoring and documenting treatment progress, activities, and behaviors.
- Assist clients with daily living activities and encourage medication adherence and crisis management strategies.
- Work alongside clinicians to coordinate appropriate care levels post-assessment.
- Utilize de-escalation techniques during intense situations and provide one-on-one safety monitoring as needed.
- Collaborate with community partners, families, and healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive support.
- Help clients schedule follow-up mental health appointments and support their reintegration into home, school, and community settings.
- Complete all required documentation, training, and competency reviews promptly and accurately.
- Work flexible shifts including nights and weekends based on community crisis demands.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Computer proficiency necessary.
- Preferred:
Two or more years of professional experience in mental health services, crisis response, or related fields. - Preferred:
Experience educating clients on self-care and improving daily living skills.
- Must pass background checks including child and adult abuse registries and motor vehicle screening.
- Completion of CPR, First Aid, and other assigned trainings within 60 days of employment.
- Valid driver's license, insurance, and reliable vehicle required.
