Responsibilities

Honoring the resident's choices and preferences
Provide personal hygiene assistance for residents or those recovering from surgeries, injuries, declining health, or accidents by attending to their needs, such as showering, bathroom needs, bathing, dressing and eating.
Help residents with ambulation
Ensuring drinks, meals and snacks are available to the residents at all times
Assist in obtaining and maintaining good skin health of the residents
May assist with transportation for the resident's appointments
Prevention or reporting of abuse, neglect, or exploitation
Interacting with the residents alone or in a group setting
Implementation and following of the residents care plan
Documentation of the resident's daily cares
Ensuring the resident's personal space as well as the household is clean and clutter free
Provide a safe environment for the residents
Act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency

Qualifications

Enjoy working in a one-on-one setting, eager to improve and continuously learn new skills
Ability to life and/or move up to 50 pounds with the physical capability to perform job-related duties
Reliable transportation every single day
Validated ability to act in a compassionate and supportive manner
Available to work weekends and holiday
