Job Description

Worthington Enterprises is seeking an experienced Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) to support our Maize manufacturing facility. This role serves as a trusted advisor to employees, leaders, and the management team while helping drive a culture centered on Worthington's People First philosophy. The facility operates 24/7 with production shifts from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.; a flexible schedule is required to support employees and leaders across all shifts.

Eligibility – This position is open to Veterans, Transitioning Military, National Guard and Reserve Members, Military Spouses, Wounded Warriors, and their Caregivers, where applicable.

Key Responsibilities
  • Partner with leaders to drive employee engagement, performance, and retention.
  • Coach managers on employee relations, performance management, conflict resolution, corrective action, and employee development.
  • Lead complex employee relations investigations and provide recommendations for resolution.
  • Support talent management initiatives including workforce planning, succession planning, leadership development, and career growth.
  • Partner with hiring managers and recruiting resources to attract, select, and retain top talent.
  • Review bi‑weekly payroll for accuracy and consistency.
  • Lead employee engagement efforts, culture initiatives, and action planning activities.
  • Analyze workforce trends and HR metrics to identify opportunities and improve business performance.
  • Partner with HR leadership on compensation planning, pay administration, and benefit‑related programs.
  • Ensure compliance with employment laws, company policies, and HR best practices.
  • Provide guidance to leaders regarding legal, regulatory, and policy‑related matters.
  • Oversee workers' compensation matters and collaborate with internal and external resources as needed.
  • Support training, development, and safety initiatives that strengthen employee capability and organizational effectiveness.
  • Serve as a key HR resource for employee communications, organizational change, and site‑wide HR initiatives.
  • Act as the company's HR representative within the local community and support community engagement activities.

Qualifications
  • High School or GED required; bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field preferred.
  • 5+ years of progressive HR experience, preferably in a manufacturing or multi‑shift environment.
  • Strong knowledge of employee relations, employment law, talent management, compensation practices, and organizational development.
  • Experience conducting workplace investigations and coaching leaders.
  • HR certification (PHR, SPHR, SHRM‑CP, or SHRM‑SCP) preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and HRIS systems.
