Equity Staffing Group is seeking a People Operations Generalist to join a growing engineering and construction organization in Edwardsville, KS. This is an excellent opportunity for an HR professional who enjoys supporting employees throughout the entire employee lifecycle while contributing to payroll, benefits, compliance, recruiting, and employee relations.
Location: Edwardsville, KS
Schedule: Full-Time | Onsite
Salary:
Up to $60,000 annually
- Serve as the first point of contact for employee relations matters, providing guidance and support to employees and managers.
- Assist with recruiting efforts by posting positions, coordinating interviews, and partnering with staffing agencies and hiring managers.
- Coordinate new hire onboarding, orientation, and offboarding activities while maintaining accurate personnel records.
- Support performance management processes, including annual reviews, salary administration, and employee documentation.
- Administer employee benefits and respond to employee questions regarding benefit programs.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and company employment policies and maintain required HR documentation.
- Process employment paperwork, including I-9s, W-4s, direct deposit forms, and other new hire documentation.
- Review and audit weekly payroll information for accuracy before submission.
- Assist with workers' compensation claims, unemployment requests, employment verifications, and leave administration.
- Maintain HR data within the company's ERP and HR systems.
- Partner with leadership and the parent company's People Operations team to support HR initiatives and continuous process improvements.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Experience in Human Resources, Employee Relations, Payroll, or a similar HR Generalist role.
- Working knowledge of payroll processes, employment laws, and HR best practices.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and conflict-resolution skills.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Experience supporting engineering, construction, manufacturing, or industrial organizations.
- Experience with ERP or HRIS systems.
