JOB SUMMARY:Coordinates and supports the daily functions of the Human Resources department for the hospital, rural health clinics, long-term care, and swing bed services. Responsible for employee recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, performance management support, policy administration, compliance monitoring, personnel record maintenance, training coordination. Ensures compliance with federal and state employment laws, healthcare regulations, and organizational policies while promoting a positive workplace culture.

Interrelationships:
Department Directors, Managers, Employees, Medical Staff, Educational Institutions, Regulatory Agencies, Legal Counsel, and Human Resources Consultants
- Coordinate recruitment and hiring activities including job postings, applicant screening, interview scheduling, reference checks, and pre-employment requirements.
- Facilitate new employee onboarding and orientation programs.
- Maintain employee personnel files and human resources records in accordance with organizational policies and regulatory requirements.
- Process and maintain employee status changes, compensation updates, transfers, promotions, and terminations.
- Monitor compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
- Assist with administration of Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), workers' compensation, unemployment claims, and leave of absence programs.
- Maintain and update human resources policies, procedures, and employee handbook provisions.
- Provide guidance to managers and employees regarding human resources policies and employment practices.
- Assist department leaders with performance management processes, coaching recommendations, corrective action documentation, and employee development initiatives.
- Participate in employee relations investigations and resolution of workplace concerns.
- Coordinate employee recognition, retention, wellness, and engagement activities.
- Monitor required employee licenses, certifications, education, and compliance training requirements.
- Prepare reports related to staffing, turnover, vacancies, benefits, worker's compensation, and other human resources metrics.
- Assist with wage surveys, compensation analysis, and workforce planning activities.
- Support accreditation, regulatory, and compliance audits related to human resources functions.
- Maintain confidentiality of employee, applicant, and organizational information.
- Assist with payroll-related activities and employee timekeeping processes as needed.
- Support emergency preparedness, disaster response, and organizational continuity efforts as requested.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support organizational objectives.
- Knowledge of human resources principles, practices, employment laws, and healthcare workforce regulations.
- Strong understanding of employee recruitment, onboarding, benefits administration, employee relations, and performance management practices.
- Knowledge of federal and state employment regulations including FMLA, ADA, FLSA, COBRA, OSHA, and EEOC requirements.
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or related field preferred.
- Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
