Abilene Machine is seeking a hands-on Human Resources Manager to lead our HR function in a growing agricultural manufacturing environment. This position partners with executive leadership, managers, supervisors, and employees to support a safe, productive, compliant, and positive workplace.

The HR Manager will oversee employee relations, recruiting, payroll, benefits, performance management, compliance, training, HR administration, and workplace safety. This is an opportunity for an HR professional who enjoys both strategic leadership and hands-on involvement in day‑to‑day HR operations.

• Lead HR strategy and workforce planning in partnership with executive leadership and department managers.
• Advise managers and supervisors on employee relations, performance management, disciplinary matters, hiring, promotions, and terminations.
• Oversee recruitment, onboarding, retention, staffing, and workforce planning.
• Oversee accurate and timely payroll processing, timekeeping, employee pay changes, deductions, and payroll records.
• Manage compensation and benefits programs, including employee communications and vendor coordination.
• Develop and maintain HR policies, procedures, employee handbook updates, and employment practices.
• Ensure compliance with applicable federal and state employment laws and regulations.
• Oversee employee records, HR systems, reporting, and confidential personnel information.
• Lead performance management, employee development, training, and engagement initiatives.
• Support workplace safety and compliance programs in partnership with management.
• Conduct and support employee investigations and resolve workplace concerns appropriately.
• Coach and support supervisors and managers in effective leadership and consistent application of company policies.

• Perform other HR responsibilities and projects as assigned.

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Human Resource Development, or a related field.
• Experience in human resources; manufacturing, agricultural, industrial, or operational experience preferred.
• Ability to perform essential job functions with little or no oversight.
• Intermediate computer and data entry skills.
• Experience with HRIS, payroll, timekeeping, and Microsoft Office systems preferred.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Ability to set priorities, manage multiple responsibilities, and meet deadlines.
• Strong communication, problem‑solving, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.
