Come join the Omega Team for this exciting opportunity. We are looking to add a Community Manager with our team. The Residential Community Manager’s goal is to maximize the income and control the expenses at the apartment community. This position is responsible for the day-to-day operations and organization of the apartment management office and staff, ensuring that the property is clean, in good repair, and that target occupancy is met.
The Residential Manager shall exercise discretion within company guidelines in dealing with a wide variety of situations, including promoting increased rental revenue, servicing residents’ needs, collecting rents and fees, and maintaining the property.
- Apply principles of logical thinking to a variety of practical situations and accurately follow standardized procedures.
- Think rationally beyond a specific set of instructions.
- Work at a fast pace and handle multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and communicate with staff, residents, visitors, and the public in a professional manner.
- Maintain legible penmanship and accurate typing skills.
- Correctly handle lease documents, fill out paperwork, and keep accurate records.
- Work with figures and make bank deposits.
- Compute rental amounts, prorates, discounts, percentages, and basic math computations.
- Operate fax/copy machine, vacuum, telephone, typewriter, calculator, and be computer literate or willing to be trained.
- Provide good customer service and resolve resident, prospect, and vendor problems.
- Effectively communicate with all types of people, maintain a professional phone manner, have an outgoing personality, and possess sales capability to lease apartments.
- Direct, lead, and resolve employee disputes (supervisory skills).
- Be self‑motivated to set and accomplish personal and team goals.
- High school diploma or equivalency; some college preferred.
- Minimum of one year of experience in management, sales, and/or office administration; prior apartment management experience preferred.
- ARM or CAM designations preferred.
- HUD/LIHTC experience preferred.
