About

the Role

As Plant General Manager, you will be responsible for the overall leadership, performance, and development of the Bouxwiller site. You will create a safe, high-performing, and customer-focused environment that supports Amcor's long-term growth. You will lead a multidisciplinary team, ensure operational excellence, and drive continuous improvement across the plant. You will also play a crucial role in talent development, capability building, and cultural transformation — all while contributing directly to service, quality, financial, and sustainability targets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a Culture of Safety & Trust

  • Ensure compliance with Amcor EHS standards and all regulatory requirements
  • Promote a strong culture of safety, accountability, and employee wellbeing
  • Deliver Operational Excellence
  • Oversee production, quality, maintenance, supply chain, and engineering
  • Drive the achievement of key operational KPIs (OEE, waste, throughput, service, cost)
  • Ensure stable, reliable manufacturing and world-class quality performance
  • Own the P&L and Drive Financial Performance
  • Lead annual budgeting and strategic planning
  • Drive cost efficiency, productivity, and asset utilisation
  • Ensure disciplined CAPEX planning and execution
  • Build and Develop High-Performing Teams
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of managerial and technical leaders
  • Build future capabilities through effective succession planning
  • Foster a culture of engagement, empowerment, and continuous learning
  • Champion Continuous Improvement & Transformation
  • Lead Lean/CI initiatives across the plant
  • Enhance operational efficiency through innovation and best-practice sharing
  • Support the introduction of new materials, sustainable solutions, and process upgrades
  • Strengthen Customer Satisfaction & Service
  • Ensure reliable service, on-time delivery, and consistent quality
  • Act as a key partner to Commercial, Supply Chain, and R&D teams
  • Act as a Trusted Site Leader
  • Maintain constructive relations with works councils and unions
  • Represent the site with local authorities and regulatory bodies
  • Uphold compliance, governance, and environmental responsibilities
What You Bring

We're looking for a strong and authentic leader who can inspire, challenge, and elevate teams. Essential Experience 10+ years of experience in manufacturing, including senior leadership roles Strong operational background (extrusion, printing, thermoforming, or similar) Experience leading P&L performance in a complex industrial environment Demonstrated ability to lead cultural change and continuous improvement Experience in unionised environments and social dialogue Strong communication, influencing, and stakeholder-management skills Education Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or related field Personal Attributes Leadership presence with empathy, authenticity, and resilience Customer-centric and committed to quality excellence Strategic thinker with strong operational pragmatism Passion for developing people and building high-performing teams Curious, proactive, and solutions-oriented

The Scope You Will Lead

Approximately 180–200 employees ~ €50M site budget High-volume production (extrusion, thermoforming, printing) Modern industrial assets and a strong continuous improvement roadmap
