Description
The role of manufacturing screen print machine operators involves a variety of responsibilities that are essential for the production of high-quality printed materials. Key responsibilities include ensuring quality control, executing tasks as per specifications, and meeting production deadlines while maintaining a safe working environment. The job requires physical strength, attention to detail, mathematical aptitude, enjoyment of working with your hands and the ability to work in a noisy, time-sensitive environment.
Screen Print operators can be trained. Advancement opportunities based on performance and attendance. Rate starts per hour.
- Read the job jacket to verify quantity to be run, overrun tolerance, color sequence, and substrate.
- Obtains substrate, screen, ink, squeegee, and related supplies needed to produce job.
- Sets up press according to established company guidelines, safety, and job requirements.
- Prints proof sheets to check press setup, registration, ink viscosity and color.
- Secures supervisor approval for production run.
- Adjust drying rack to sets dryer for proper drying or curing.
- Prints job maintaining optimum production speed and makes press adjustments to maintian print quality, registration, and color.
- Troubleshoots and solves printing problems.
- Prints line and halftone copy on a variety of substrates.
- Completes production run including overruns and production samples.
- Completes production records.
- When job is completed, move job to completed hold area.
- At the end of the shift the operator cleans area and informs supervisor of any mechanical, material or in problems that caused issues during the day.
- Follow all safety protocols for running the machine safely.
- Daily and timely attendance is required unless approved by supervisor.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Must be able to lift / push / pull up to 20 lbs unassisted (or more occasionally).
- Must be able to stand for the majority of shift – 2 hour increments.
- Short distance walking required with rolls to be placed on shipping table.
- Must be able to bend, stoop, squat, grasp and reach frequently.
- Must be able to differentiate between color variance.
- Ability to work well with others.
- Must be able to perform well under deadline constraints and meet quality standards.
- Must be detail oriented and have excellent, quality driven work habits.
- Willingness to work overtime, rotating shifts, and if needed, holidays and weekends.

- Must be eligible to work in the United States without restriction.
- HS Diploma or GED required.
- Must be able to pass drug screen and background check.
· Manufacturing environment – exposure to some hazardous conditions but not limited to dust, dirt, high noise levels, chemicals, etc. Safety regulations in place following OSHA guidelines.
