Job DescriptionPosition: Furnace Technician
Location: IKO Glass Fiber Inc., Chester, SC
Department: Production
Type: Full Time (FT/PT/Cont)

- Maintain exceptional attendance and punctuality
- Promote safety and follow all safety policies and procedures
- Monitor and manage batch storage, delivery, weighing, and mixing
- Coordinate with QC and raw material carriers for unloading raw materials
- Adjust process controls to ensure efficient operation
- Monitor glass formation and adjust furnace variables for optimal performance
- Inspect furnaces regularly and address issues promptly
- Assist with furnace changes, start-ups, shutdowns, repairs, and rebuilds
- Support maintenance team with repairs and process adjustments
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in work areas
- Perform other duties as required
- Experience in furnace operations
- At least three years of manufacturing experience
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work in high-temperature environments and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Willingness to work 12-hour rotating shifts, including days and nights
- Ability to climb stairs, ladders, and work at heights
- Some travel required
- I9 verification required
