Description
Position Title: Final Assembler
Department: Final
Reports to: Final Assembly Supervisor
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Position Summary
The Final Assembler is responsible for assembling and creating finished products according to specifications while maintaining quality standards, efficiency, and safety within the Final Assembly department. This position ensures that components are assembled correctly and finished products meet company and production standards.
This role may also function as a Final Assembly Lead when designated, providing day-to-day guidance, coordination, and support to team members within the department.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Assemble and crate whole goods in Final Assembly (Ag and Turf products)
- Follow and complete all required quality checklist procedures
- Operate specialized tools and equipment required for specific assembly assignments
- Assist with positioning and handling materials and components during assembly
- Inspect parts and finished products to identify defects or quality concerns
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
- Communicate with team members and management regarding part issues or production concerns
- Follow all safety procedures and company policies
- Perform other duties as assigned
Additional Responsibilities When Designated as Final Assembly Lead:
- Provide day-to-day direction and support to assembly team members to ensure production goals are met
- Help prioritize workflow and coordinate jobs in alignment with production schedules
- Serve as a resource for troubleshooting assembly issues, including mechanical, hydraulic, or electrical components
- Monitor work for quality, accuracy, and efficiency; address issues in real time
- Assist in training and onboarding new team members, including proper assembly techniques and safety practices
- Reinforce safety policies and promote a safe working environment
- Communicate regularly with the Final Assembly Supervisor regarding production status, personnel concerns, and improvement opportunities
- Support continuous improvement efforts, including identifying process and workflow enhancements
- Lead by example in attendance, work ethic, quality, and adherence to company values
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Positive attitude with strong emotional intelligence and teamwork skills
- Effective communication and organizational skills
- Mechanical aptitude with the ability to apply mechanical understanding during assembly processes
- Ability to read and follow written instruction with visual aids is required. Being able to read and interpret electrical, hydraulic, and assembly schematics is preferred
- Ability to communicate effectively in person within a team environment
- Proficient in using hand and power tools such as drills, grinders, and impacts
- Willingness to be cross-trained in multiple areas of the assembly process

- Demonstrated proficiency in final assembly processes and product knowledge
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills

Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, bend, kneel, crouch, and move frequently throughout the workday
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds consistently and up to 70 pounds occasionally with team lift or mechanical assistance
- Frequent repetitive motion while assembling components and operating tools
- Ability to safely operate assembly equipment and hoists during production tasks
- Strong visual ability to identify assembly errors, missing components, or quality concerns
- Ability to hear and communicate important production or part-related issues to team members and management
Work Environment
- Work performed in a manufacturing environment with inconsistent temperatures depending on shop conditions
- Frequent exposure to loud noises from tools such as impacts and grinders
