Function in the Job

Medium/Heavy work - Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.

Job Function
  • Unloads trucks and stages material according to company procedures.
  • Performs physical inspection of material received.
  • Matches material to quality control requirements.
  • Receives material into stock by proper location and inventory tag.
  • Performs computer entry into the system, i.e. allocations, transformations, reservations and entry into inventory.
  • Receives other deliveries for the facility and delivers to proper department or individual.
Required Skills Language Skills

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports and business correspondence. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of colleagues, managers and customers.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Math Skills

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, weights, proportions, percentages, area and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

Work Environment

Ability to work under deadline-driven, sometimes stressful conditions. Ability to work irregular hours. Ability to travel as required. Skill in exercising a high degree of initiative, judgment, discretion and decision‑making to achieve organizational objectives.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, calculator, and telephone keypad. The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Required

Education and Experience

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or six to twelve months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
