Position SummaryPerform responsibilities necessary to generate and update all production planning.
Position Responsibilities:- Generate all production planning documentation per customer specifications, engineering documents and models.
- Generate manufacturing planning for rework work orders when needed.
- Maintain manufacturing planning stays current and updated.
- Generate, submit and track engineering questions to customers.
- Coordinate customer responses with appropriate departments.
- Validate outside vendors are approved to customers specifications.
- Maintain part configuration by reviewing customer change notices, revision changes and PO changes.
- Create and maintain Bill of Materials (BOM) from customer engineering requirements.
- Review customer specifications and engineering requirements to ensure all processes and procedures are being met.
- High School Education or GED. Associate degree preferred but not required.
- Good written and oral communication skills.
- Experience with Microsoft Office, MRP/ERP system, CATIA/ MASTERCAM or similar engineering software.
- Experience in CNC machining and quality inspection techniques.
- Comprehension of customer specifications and blueprints.
- Understanding of CNC machine capabilities.
- Must be self-motivated, organized, willing to learn and ready to work in a fast-paced environment.
Physical Requirements
This position will require an employee to perform the following functions effectively, with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Effective use of a computer keyboard.
- Effective use of telephone and other applicable electronic communication equipment.
- View and read documents, and computer monitors.
- View machines and other operations as part of the manufacturing process.
- Verbal communication with department managers and plant personnel.
- Position will generally require sitting for prolonged periods of time.
- Lift and carry a minimum of 10 lbs.
- Occasional requirements may include standing for prolonged periods, walking, climbing stairs or ladders, kneeling, crouching, reaching, balancing, and lifting and carrying a minimum of 25 lbs.
