Job Overview

Join Tyson Foods as a Production Operator at our sausage production facility operating six days a week.

Starting base rate: $21.05 per hour with an additional $1.10 per hour shift differential for a 2nd shift position. Scheduling may vary; some positions may include a 7‑day rotation.

• Operate machinery to ensure the continuous flow of product through the production process.
• Monitor and adjust machine settings as needed and notify supervisor if maintenance is required.
• Use the EIM System and handheld scanners to track and record production data.
• Perform assigned duties while wearing required PPE, including steel‑toed shoes, bump cap, and hearing protection.
• Maintain a safe work environment and adhere to Tyson policies and procedures.

• Lift up to 50 lbs. when dumping bags of spice.
• Push or pull an 80‑lb film in a cart to the machine.
• Perform torso flexion of 0‑45 degrees while handling spice.
• Use full bilateral arm extension and hand grasp to check code dates.
• Stand at all times at all workstations.
• Use both hands simultaneously for tasks.
• Operate in temperature ranges of 38 to 50 degrees; conditions may be wet.

• Minimum 3 months of documented operator experience (combination of employers accepted).
• Tyson employees must observe a 180‑day rehire waiting period and may work a maximum of three times.
• Ability to read and follow written instructions and use basic math.
• Willingness to learn and use the EIM System.
