Job DescriptionThis role is responsible for creating a finalized and feasible Master Production Schedule (MPS) and Detailed Production Schedule (DPS), while coordinating buffer/supermarket stocks based on Demand Driven Materials Requirement Planning (DDMRP) principles within Industrial Production Centers (IPCs) or Late Customization Centers (LCCs) to ensure inventory availability to meet customer demand effectively, working under general supervision
Your role :- Coordinates planning-related master data management closely with Enterprise Information Management (EIM), ensuring accuracy and consistency throughout.
- Generates realistic and achievable Detailed Production Schedule (DPS) and Master Production Schedule (MPS), complemented by a Material Requirements Plan (MRP) developed with Operational Buyers for efficient material procurement.
- Issues production schedules to the shop floor and conducts regular planning meetings with Production/Operations Management to synchronize activities and address any concerns.
- Initiates improvements to planning processes and relevant Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), leveraging expertise in various planning methodologies and continuous improvement techniques.
- Releases/manages production order and material-related issues promptly, utilizing negotiation skills and technical understanding to facilitate effective resolutions.
- You have 4+ years of experience with a vocational education in areas such as industrial, manufacturing, production engineering or equivalent. No experience required with a Bachelor’s degree
- Your skills include manufacturing principles, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, continuous improvement, materials requirements planning, cost-benefit analysis, master data management, supply chain management and business acumen
- You have a Bachelor’s Degree / Vocational Education in Mechanical, Electro-mechanical, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, Production Engineering or equivalent. Bachelor’s degree preferred, Lean Six Sigma certification preferred
- You must be able to successfully perform the following minimum Physical, Cognitive and Environmental job requirements with or without accommodation for this position.
This is an onsite role. You must reside in or within commuting distance to Latham, NY.
Pay and benefitsThe pay range for this position in NY is $70,000 to $111,000.
The actual base pay offered may vary within the posted ranges depending on multiple factors including job-related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal equity.
