The Scheduling Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and managing the daily flow of work orders, production schedules, and resource planning activities within the facility. This role serves as a key liaison between operations, shop personnel, supervisors, and corporate scheduling teams to ensure work is scheduled efficiently, resources are properly allocated, and production objectives are achieved. The Scheduling Coordinator maintains accurate work order documentation, supports inventory transactions, and helps optimize workflow through effective communication and collaboration across departments.
- Confirming and printing work orders.
- Interfacing with the shop to print, organize, and consolidate paperwork order copies.
- Issue serialized repair inventory to work order.
- Job receipt and LTM finished good.
- Complete work order receipts and closures.
- Adding new work orders to weekly block schedules.
- Adjusting and modifying existing schedules as needed.
- Issuing inventory to work orders as needed.
- Communicating with department supervisors / leads for scheduling collaboration as needed.
- Collaboration with corporate scheduling and level loading initiatives.
Adhere to scheduling and resource planning standards.
Function as a focal point for communication with internal stakeholders.
Contributes to moderately complex aspects of a substation project, if applicable.
Other assigned duties as needed.
Requirements- HS diploma/GED required.
- Previous experience in scheduling and planning in a manufacturing environment preferred.
- Basic MS Office applications, with emphasis on spreadsheet analysis preferred.
- Scheduling software experience preferred.
- Proven track record in safety excellence is required.
- Adheres to all safety and environmental compliance regulations set by the organization. Notify management immediately of any safety concerns, hazardous conditions, or injuries.
- Ability to read and interpret work orders (expand identify errors and correct).
- Process work orders in a timely fashion to meet corporate and customer deadlines.
- Possess a strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, problem-solving abilities, cooperative attitude, strong attention to detail and can work in a team environment.
- Adheres to the company’s employee handbook policies and embodies the organization’s core values.
- Complete company compliance and safety training when required.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule and work under pressure in a fast-paced work environment.
- Physical requirements for this role include, but are not limited to the following:
- Sitting in a normal seated position for extended periods of time while operating a computer with occasional light lifting.
- Regular visits to the production facility and engaging with operations team.
