Machine Operator - 2nd Shift - South Hutchinson, KS

Overview

Join Tyson Foods to produce sausage crumbles and dry sausage in a 6‑day operation.

Base rate $21.05 per hour with an additional $1.10 per hour shift differential for 2nd shift.

• Operate machinery, ensuring continuous flow of product and correct ingredient usage.
• Monitor and adjust machine settings, notifying supervisor when maintenance is required and maintaining a safe work environment in accordance with Tyson policies.
• Learn the EIM System, use handheld scanners, and perform any other duties assigned.
• Wear appropriate PPE including steel‑toed shoes, bump cap and hearing protection, and dress appropriately before arriving at workstation.

• Willing and able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Willing and able to push/pull an 80‑lb film cart to machine.
• Perform torso flexion 0‑45 degrees when handling spice.
• Use full bilateral arm extension.
• Use full bilateral hand grasp for code‑date checks.
• Stand at all times in all workstations.
• Operate with hands simultaneously for job tasks.
• Comfortable working in temperatures ranging 38–50 °F and occasionally wet conditions.

• Minimum 6 months operator experience with the same employer, documented in the work history.
• Tyson employees must observe a 180‑day rehire waiting period and are limited to a maximum of three hires.

2nd Shift (United States of America). Facility produces sausage crumbles and dry sausage.
