Essential Functions:
  • Prepare aircraft parts and assemblies for painting through cleaning, sanding, masking, and surface preparation.
  • Mix primers, sealants, and topcoats according to engineering specifications and manufacturer requirements.
  • Apply primers, coatings, and finish paints using conventional and specialized spray equipment.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, work instructions, and planning documents.
  • Match paint colors and finishes to required specifications while ensuring coating consistency and quality.
  • Perform paint touch-ups, rework, and repairs as required.
  • Conduct in-process and final inspections using precision measuring equipment to verify coating thickness and quality standards.
  • Maintain paint booths, spray guns, and related equipment to ensure proper operation.
  • Handle and dispose of paints, solvents, and hazardous materials in accordance with company procedures and environmental regulations.
  • Support production schedules while maintaining compliance with safety, OSHA, customer, and aerospace quality standards.
Requirements:
  • Aircraft painting or aerospace painting experience required.
  • Experience operating industrial spray guns and paint application equipment.
  • Ability to prepare, mask, prime, and paint aircraft structures and components.
  • Experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints, and work instructions.
  • Ability to distinguish colors, shades, and surface finishes with a high level of accuracy.
  • Ability to work from elevated platforms, lifts, scaffolding, and ladders.
  • Must be willing and able to work any shift.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States.
