Fiberglass Grinder
Pay: $17.75 per hour
Schedule: Full-Time, Monday through Thursday, 5:00 AM to 3:00 PM
Overtime: Required as needed
Penmac Staffing is seeking dependable candidates for a Fiberglass Grinder position with a manufacturing client. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who enjoy hands‑on work, take pride in producing quality products, and thrive in a fast‑paced production environment.
Requirements for the Fiberglass Grinder- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Previous manufacturing, production, fiberglass, or industrial experience is helpful but not required
- Ability to read and follow work orders, instructions, and measurements
- Basic math skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally
- Ability to stand for extended periods throughout the shift
- Must be willing to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Remove fiberglass parts from molds and move them to designated work areas
- Grind, trim, drill, and cut fiberglass components using hand, power, and pneumatic tools
- Follow work orders, prints, templates, and engineering specifications
- Apply Polycore materials as required
- Perform rework and repairs when needed to meet quality standards
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Complete filter log documentation for dust collection equipment
- Follow all safety procedures and quality requirements
- Work efficiently to meet production schedules and daily goals
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Frequently lift and carry 10 to 20 pounds
- Occasionally lift and carry up to 50 pounds
- Frequent use of both hands for grasping, pushing, pulling, and tool operation
- Occasional bending, kneeling, squatting, and reaching
This Fiberglass Grinder position works in a manufacturing environment with exposure to fiberglass dust and industrial noise. Safety glasses are required throughout the facility. Air-supplied hoods and hearing protection are required during grinding and cutting operations. Annual pulmonary function testing and respirator fit testing are required for employees using respiratory protection.
