The EHS Manager will lead environmental, health, and safety initiatives at a manufacturing facility producing synthetic fiber products used in reinforced concrete and other industrial applications. This position serves as the primary safety leader on-site, ensuring compliance with company policies and maintaining a safe working environment across all production areas.
This is a highly visible, hand-on role focused on floor presence, employee engagement, and proactive hazard prevention. The successful candidate will spend significant time in the plant conducting inspections, observing work practices, coaching employees, and partnering with production leadership to strengthen the site's safety culture.
The role requires collaboration with operators, supervisors, and management teams to drive continuous improvement, investigate incidents, implement corrective actions, and ensure compliance with safety programs and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications- 3+ years of safety experience in a manufacturing environment
- Working knowledge of Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures
- Experience with machine guarding programs
- Understanding of PPE compliance and implementation
- Ability to support a 24/7 operation and rotate across shifts
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Ability to work in a manufacturing production environment
- Comfortable conducting daily floor inspections and safety audits
- Strong incident investigation and problem-solving capabilities
- Ability to engage and influence hourly production employees
- Hands-on approach to safety leadership and training delivery
- Conduct daily safety inspections and hazard assessments throughout the facility
- Lead and maintain LOTO, machine guarding, and PPE compliance programs
- Build positive working relationships with operators and production leadership>
- Investigate incidents, near misses, and workplace injuries
- Develop and implement corrective and preventive actions
- Deliver safety training and coaching to employees across all shifts
- Monitor compliance with company safety standards and procedures
- Support continuous improvement initiatives related to workplace safety
- Maintain safety documentation and regulatory records as required
