Welcome to the next chapter of Cimarron First Baptist Church’s story! We are a warm, close‑knit family of believers in the quiet, friendly town of Cimarron, Kansas—right in the heart of the High Plains, conveniently centered between Dodge City and Garden City.

Our vision is anything but small. We long to see lives transformed by the power of the Gospel, and we are prayerfully seeking a servant leader who senses God’s clear calling to join us in this exciting season of faithful, joyful growth.

If you are a man who is preferably bilingual in English and Spanish, or can communicate with the Latinos in our community who turns “what if” into “look what God has done,” who burns with passion for God’s Word, loves bold evangelism, meets people right where they are, and is deeply committed to reaching the lost, making disciples, and fulfilling the Great Commission—we believe the Holy Spirit may be stirring your heart toward us.

We especially desire to reach and love the growing Hispanic community in our area, and we are looking for a shepherd who will help us do that with joy and cultural sensitivity.

We want a pastor who thrives on building authentic relationships, cherishes the beauty of small‑town rural life, and delights in pouring into families, kids, teens, and every generation. Come be a dynamic communicator who opens Scripture with fire and tenderness, a compassionate leader who shepherds with humility, and a mentor who equips our people to walk boldly with Jesus. • Lifting our hearts in worship — Cultivating a warm, heartfelt atmosphere (with traditional hymns and authentic praise) that draws people into a deeper, life‑changing relationship with Jesus.
• Proclaiming God’s Word — Faithfully teaching and preaching Scripture so lives are renewed, hope is restored, and truth sets people free.
• Nurturing disciples — Equipping every believer—young and old—to grow, serve, and multiply their faith.
• Reaching the lost — Boldly sharing the Gospel and making disciples of all people groups, including our growing Hispanic community.
• Spreading the love of Jesus — Engaging our community through evangelism, outreach, and visitation so the hurting are healed and the seeking are found.
• Building each other up — Creating a welcoming, multigenerational family where we support, encourage, and do life together in Christ.
• Serving with joy — Making a tangible difference in Cimarron and beyond, one act of Gospel love at a time.

• Has a vibrant, mature, and growing relationship with Jesus Christ, demonstrated through a life of integrity, humility, prayer, and dependence on the Holy Spirit.
• Preferably bilingual in English and Spanish and has a genuine passion to reach and minister to the Hispanic community in our area.
• Demonstrates a clear calling to pastoral ministry, a heart for shepherding God’s people and a passion for helping the church grow spiritually and reach the community. All previous pastoral experience will be considered and we will highly consider less experienced candidates who show strong biblical leadership, spiritual maturity, and a commitment to ministry. FBC would be willing to ordain the right candidate.
• Fully aligns with our Southern Baptist doctrinal beliefs (the Baptist Faith and Message) and is committed to faithfully preaching and teaching the Bible without compromise.
• Is ready to become a member of First Baptist Church and joyfully make Cimarron, KS their home and ministry field.

• Lives out the character of a shepherd described in 1 Timothy 3:1‑7, Titus 1:5‑9, and 1 Peter 5:1‑4.
• Has a burning passion for God’s Word, bold evangelism, reaching the lost, making disciples, and fulfilling the Great Commission—especially among our Hispanic neighbors.
