Muscotah United Church, located in Muscotah, Kansas. An independent, non-denominational church located in Northeast Kansas within 80 miles of the Kansas City International Airport and 50 miles from Topeka in the center of 3 county seats. We are a well-established church of 160 years with a Bible believing Congregational church background. The church membership is approximately 160 with an average Sunday attendance between 100‑120 people. The
church building, fellowship hall and parsonage are in good condition and well maintained.
We are currently looking for a minister who can shepherd our church and community through Christ’s love and biblical instruction. The role of the Pastor is to provide counseling and comfort to our church members, to be an active part of this community, and to provide hope of salvation to the lost and support to believers as we mutually seek to glorify God.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIESThe Pastor will lead us through a service that is uplifting in worship and leads us in God’s way through sermons and biblical teaching. Possess a God‑given passion for church growth. Oversee all worship services, provide leadership and oversight for church outreaches and any other duties that the Church may undertake. In addition, the Pastor shall perform weddings and funerals, provide visitations and participate in key activities of the Church.
COMPENSATIONThis full‑time position offers a non‑binding contractual amount with paid vacation time, renewed yearly upon approval of the congregation. The current compensation is above the average of other churches of similar size ranging from $60,000‑$70,000 based on education and experience. A parsonage is available as is a car for church business.
