Almena Bible Church is a small community church that was founded as a Congregational Church in the late 1800s and now operates as an independent church committed to serving our local community of 363 residents and many farmers in our rural area. Almena is 12 miles from Norton, 3,000 population, the county seat with a modern critical‑care hospital, services and shopping, and a movie theatre.
A state lake lies just west of Norton for boating, fishing, camping with modern campsites. Hunting is abundant throughout the area. Our mission is to help believers deepen their relationship with God.
Almena Bible Church, Almena, KS, is seeking a doctrinally sound Pastor for a regrowing church family of believers. The pastor will be responsible for the spiritual leadership of our church, teaching from the Bible, leading worship services, and establishing a Christ‑centered vision for the Church. The ideal candidate will have a heart for evangelism and a desire to expand ministries and community outreach.
Qualifications- A born‑again believer in Jesus Christ with beliefs centred on God’s holy Word.
- Adheres to the standards required in 1 Timothy 3:1‑2 and Titus 1:6‑9.
- Committed to salvation as outlined in Matthew 28:19‑20, Acts 2:38, Romans 10:9, Matthew 16:16.
- Able to administer the Lord’s Supper, marriages, funerals, baby dedications, etc.
- Preferably 2‑3 years of senior or lead pastoral experience; new graduates will be considered.
- Four‑year degree from an accredited Bible college or seminary preferred; 2‑3 year degrees considered.
- Possess and maintain a clean driving record.
- Must complete and pass a criminal background check (CBC) if offered the position.
- Oversee and mentor leadership within the church family.
- Represent the church in community outreach activities and charitable events.
- Organize weekly services and deliver biblically based messages.
- Communicate with congregation members and provide pastoral care, including to nursing‑home residents.
- Maintain the Church's social media presence.
- Provide spiritual support and oversight of all youth ministry endeavors.
- Maintain consistent office hours.
- Negotiable.
- 2 weeks, yearly, paid time off (PTO).
- Time off for the fifth weekend in a given month.
