Overview
Anderson County Hospital in Garnett, KS is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to join our Residential Living Center. As an LPN in a long term care unit setting, you will have the opportunity to perform patient care, delegate patient care tasks, and supervise other patient care staff. You will be responsible for coordinating the plan of care for a group of assigned patients and consulting with other members of the health care team when indicated to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Shift: Full Time Nights
Responsibilities- Provide professional nursing care for clinic patients following established standards and practices.
- Screen walk-in patients and conduct telephone screening with protocols; provide medication/injection education; assist with procedures; perform wound cleaning and dressing changes; suctioning; catheter insertion; tracheostomy care; biopsies; diabetic nail care; and other duties as assigned by the respective clinic.
- Work in a team environment or autonomously as needed.
- Be the subject matter expert for patient education, assessment, interpretation, and documentation of patient care and testing.
- Delegate tasks to unlicensed assistive personnel (UAP) in accordance with demonstrated competencies and scope of practice considerations.
- May be responsible for covering Medical Assistant job duties as needed.

Experience:
Less than 1 year - Basic Life Support (BLS) - American Heart Association or Red Cross
- Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
