CNA - Certified Nursing Assistant

Must be willing to work every other weekend or one day every weekend. Must be dependable.

As a certified nursing assistant (CNA), you are responsible for providing routine nursing care in accordance with established policies and procedures and as directed by the Charge Nurse, RN Supervisor, Director of Nurses, or Administrator to assure that the highest quality resident care can be maintained at all times.

• Must be certified as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA).
• Ability to read, write and speak English.
• Patience, tact, a cheerful disposition and enthusiasm, with the ability to interact with residents at their current level of functioning.

• Prepare residents for therapy, activities, physician visits, religious services, etc., including transporting residents to and from such activities.
• Answer residents’ call lights promptly.
• Attend in-service educational programs, on-the-job training programs and meetings as directed.
• Assist residents with proper hygiene.
• Bathe residents as assigned in accordance with facility procedures; encourage showers and other self-help activities.
• Follow infection control procedures in accordance with facility policy when isolation techniques are necessary.
• Document required information each shift related to the CNA role.
• Present a professional image to residents/consumers through dress, behavior and speech.
• Adhere to company standards for resolving consumer concerns.
• Ensure that all resident rights are protected.
