ADAY IN THE LIFE OF A CERTIFIED NURSING ASSISTANT (CNA)
As a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), you play a vital role in our community. You provide total care for residents, assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as washing, bathing, dressing, feeding, grooming, walking, transferring, skin care, toileting, oral care, and catheter care. You perform care as defined by the resident plan of care/CNA assignment card and visit residents to reposition as required.
With a close eye for detail, you record temperature, pulse, respiration, and weight, and conduct range of motion as needed.
You take great care to observe and report any changes in condition, attitude, reaction, appetite, and behavior when caring for residents. You maintain confidentiality and follow HIPPAA requirements, upholding our facility policies and procedures. Your warm and friendly demeanor makes it easy to provide excellent customer service and build relationships with residents, their families, visitors, and colleagues. QUALIFICATIONSFOR A CERTIFIED NURSING ASSISTANT (CNA)
- Completed a state approved Nurse Aide Training Program.
- Current Kansas certification/registration to practice.
- Current CPR certification.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and comply with all HIPPA regulations.
- Desire to work with the elderly.
Experience in a geriatric nursing facility is preferred but not required. Are you trustworthy and respectful of others? Is being dependable, professional, and a team player at the heart of all you do? Do you enjoy serving and caring for seniors? WORKSCHEDULE
This full-time health care position works 8-hour shifts and rotating weekends.
