A Day in the Life of a Registered Nurse (RN)As a Registered Nurse (RN), you play a vital role in our clinic. You provide total care for residents, monitoring their condition and needs. You administer medications and treatments following physician orders, ensure narcotic policies are followed, monitor for side effects, and report changes in conditions. You oversee the nursing assistant‑registered staff to ensure care plans are followed, complete documentation, admit and discharge residents, and report any bruises, skin tears or neglect.
You maintain confidentiality and abide by HIPAA regulations, uphold facility policies, and provide excellent customer service while building relationships with residents, families, visitors, and colleagues.
- RN licensure with the KS Board of Nursing
- Current CPR certification
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and comply with all HIPAA regulations
- Desire to work with the elderly
Experience in medical, surgical, or geriatric nursing is preferred but not required. Candidates should be trustworthy, respectful, dependable, professional, a team player, enjoy serving seniors, be able to establish rapport, and communicate effectively.
Work ScheduleThis full‑time position requires 12‑hour day shifts.
