Position:Charge Nurse (LPN)
Role
Summary:
Provide frontline clinical leadership and exceptional resident care within our skilled nursing community. Oversee nursing services during assigned shifts, supervise caregiving teams, ensure compliance, and serve as a central communicator.
- Oversee nursing services, administration, and clinical supervision during assigned shifts.
- Ensure compliance with nursing care standards, policies, and procedures.
- Supervise and guide nursing staff, including LPNs, CNAs, and CMAs.
- Complete and update resident assessments, care plans, and documentation.
- Communicate changes in resident condition to families, physicians, and leadership.
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders and facility protocols.
- Conduct routine rounds to ensure resident needs are met.
- Address, document, and report incidents, accidents, concerns, including suspected abuse or neglect.
- Ensure appropriate supplies, equipment, and medications are available.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to promote quality care and resident safety.
- Uphold Americare’s mission, vision, values, and company policies.
- Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license required.
- Familiarity with state and federal nursing regulations.
- Strong communication, leadership, and clinical judgment skills.
- Experience in skilled nursing, long‑term care, or senior living preferred.
- Passion for resident‑centered care and team collaboration.
- Alignment with Americare’s Mission, Vision, Home Town Hospitality, and FA.M.I.L.Y. values.
- Lift up to 25 lbs. and assist with resident transfers as needed.
- Push, pull, and maneuver up to 100 lbs., including resident mobility assistance.
