Job Description
Anderson County Hospital in Garnett, KS is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to join our Residential Living Center. As an LPN in a long‑term care unit setting, you will have the opportunity to perform patient care, delegate patient care tasks, and supervise other patient‑care staff. You will be responsible for coordinating the plan of care for a group of assigned patients and consulting with other members of the health‑care team when indicated to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
ShiftFull‑time Nights.
ResponsibilitiesProvide professional nursing care for clinic patients following established standards and practices. Responsibilities include screening walk‑in patients, telephone screening with protocols, medication/injection education, assisting with procedures, cleaning wounds, dressing changes, suctioning, catheter insertion, tracheostomy care, biopsies, diabetic nail care, and other duties assigned by the clinic. Work both independently and in a team, maintaining excellent customer service skills and a professional demeanor at all times.
Delegate tasks to unlicensed assistive personnel (UAP) in accordance with demonstrated competencies and scope of practice. May cover medical assistant duties as needed.
Patient‑centered, self‑driven, motivated LPNs who are committed to providing exceptional patient care. Must work effectively both in a team atmosphere and autonomously. Serve as a subject‑matter expert for patient education, assessment, interpretation, and documentation of patient care and testing. Ideal candidates are highly organized, task‑oriented, resourceful, and possess strong communication skills. Excellent customer service skills and a professional demeanor are required at all times.

Applicable experience:
Less than 1 year. Basic Life Support – American Heart Association or Red Cross. Licensed Practical Nurse – Various.
