Registered Nurse (RN) – Adult Psychiatric – Weekends
Job SummaryThe Registered Nurse coordinates and delivers high‑quality, patient‑centered care in the adult psychiatric department during weekend shifts. Working in collaboration with medical providers and the care team, the RN applies established nursing models such as Assess, Perform, Teach, and Manage
, advocates for patients and families, and upholds the organization’s vision, mission, and values to support an exceptional patient experience and clinical outcomes.
- Assess patient condition upon admission and throughout each shift, identifying and reporting any changes in status.
- Perform procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered by the medical provider(s).
- Document the administration of care in the patient medical record promptly and thoroughly.
- Respond quickly to patient requests, anticipating needs and resolving them proactively.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate, evaluate, customize, and deliver a holistic patient treatment plan that promotes and supports recovery.
- Serve as the interface between healthcare providers and community support systems to coordinate the continuation of care for specialized patient groups.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification.
- Nonviolent Crisis Intervention certification obtained within 90 days of employment start date.
- Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Registered Nurse Diploma.
- No travel required.
- No prior experience required.
