Job Description
Perform comprehensive triage, assess patient conditions, and prioritize care needs in an outpatient clinical setting.
Review and document patient medical histories, psychosocial factors, and chart information to determine healthcare needs.
Provide and evaluate specialized nursing care for patients with acute and chronic gastrointestinal conditions, including responding to emergencies.
Monitor patients during complex diagnostic and therapeutic procedures and document assessments, interventions, and outcomes.
Prepare patients and verify records, consent forms, and safety requirements prior to procedures or admissions.
Operate and monitor medical equipment, identify safety hazards or abnormal findings, and report critical changes to providers.
Assist with minor surgical procedures, administer medications and moderate sedation, and provide post procedure recovery care.
Educate patients and families on disease processes, self care, test results, and follow up needs while coordinating referrals and supporting multidisciplinary care.
