Location: Dwight
Duties
Provide full-spectrum nursing care to patients from newborns to geriatrics on a multi-service ward.
Administer oxygen, IV fluids, blood transfusions and prescribed oral, subcutaneous, and intramuscular medications.
Set up, operate, and monitor medical equipment such as oxygen masks, intravenous infusion pumps, wall suction, cardiovascular monitors and other devices.
Recognize significant and life-threatening changes in patient condition and determine and implement the appropriate emergency life saving measures.
Provide specialized information and education related to patient's illness and disease process.
Communicate with providers, other staff members, and inpatient units to maintain continuity of care.
